We are currently seeking a Full-Time Employer Relations Specialist who will adhere to the aforementioned mission statement, and who will foster relationship connections for the college and support for the Office of Career and Employment Services.
GENERAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION:
Required:
Bachelor Degree in Counseling, Human Resource Management, Communications, Student Personnel Administration, Business or other related field.
(In lieu of Bachelor's Degree- Four (4) years directly related experience) Preferred:
Master's Degree in Counseling, Human Resource Management, Communications, Student Personnel Administration, Business or other related field.
EXPERIENCE :
Required:
Two (2) years of experience in a business and/or college related setting.
Two (2) years of experience in sales or recruiting related setting.
Demonstrated successful experience in communication with students, employers and coworkers.
Demonstrated successful experience in public relations, public speaking, program planning, and communicating with company stakeholders.
Preferred:
Experience in working with a college student population.
Experience in career coaching.
JOB DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project staff, AC faculty/staff, and area industry partners to develop and pilot the new work-based learning system including infusion of work-based learning in credit-bearing courses.
Develop and engage industry partners through outreach.
Build relationships and engage with industry partners, government agencies, community organizations and other potential partners.
Serve as lead liaison between AC and area industry partners in establishing community partnerships to result in higher job fair attendance, connecting AC students to employers, and gaining work-based learning opportunities.
Gather feedback from industry partners regarding industry-standard skills for career readiness capabilities.
Establish and implement strategies for outreach and information sharing across all partners.
Facilitate collaboration among area employers and AC faculty/staff to strengthen target programs and services.
Work with local, state and national employers to secure employment opportunities for AC students and graduates of all programs.
Develop and conduct workshops and seminars to prepare students for the job search process.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to travel between offices and buildings, and requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull and/or maneuver office supplies as needed.
Work Conditions:
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule (nights, evenings, weekends and possibly holidays as scheduled or needed.
) Work Environment:
This position works in a professional office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines and filing cabinets.
Travel Expectations:
Some travel may be required for this position.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
