The Rehab Tech performs duties as directed by the rehab manager and licensed Therapists to facilitate efficient delivery of rehab services including clerical, custodial, patient transport, and assistance with patient care/treatment.
The rehab tech will accept the supervision of a licensed PT or OT, acknowledging accountability for actions, and completes assigned tasks in accordance with the patient plan of care.
The rehab tech will observe and report any symptoms and changes in the patient's condition to his/her supervising PT or OT.
The rehab tech transports patients to and from rehab gym and performs exercises as directed by the licensed PT or OT.
The rehab tech will not progress exercises or change POC without direct instructions from PT or OT.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent One year of rehab tech experience, preferably in a long term acute setting Must be able to read, write, and speak English PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Category I - Jobs in which required tasks routinely involve a potential for mucous membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids, tissues or potential spills or splashes.
Use of appropriate measures is required for every healthcare provider in these jobs.
EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, MATERIALS, MACHINES USED:
Hoyer lifts, hospital beds, wheelchairs, DME, telephone, Xerox, facsimile machine, tilt table, copier, various rehab exercise equipment.
