The Team Member-Maintenance Technician (TMMT) primary responsibilities include; Provide direction, oversight, and leadership to this position, as well as (2) maintenance team members.
Manage and perform scheduled preventive maintenance on fixed and rotating mechanical equipment, troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems, miscellaneous facility maintenance activities, i.
e.
; painting, welding, general labor duties, but not limited to clean-up of equipment, work areas and grounds, and operate mobile equipment.
The TMMT will report directly to the Operations Manager.

In addition to TMMM duties, the TMMT will:
Direct TMMM personnel and schedule daily work assignments.
Track maintenance purchases and scheduling as per the routine maintenance budget.
Research products and services in accordance with fiduciary requirements.
Candidate will assist with the coordination of contractors for routine maintenance items and capital projects.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Collaborate with other individuals within the maintenance team as well as those outside of the maintenance department, including Senior Team Leader, operations team members, electrical personnel, coordinators, and management to ensure the overall success of the operation.
Candidate must have a good understanding of customer service, sense of urgency, and callout expectations.
Learn and partner with the Electrician-Technician and Senior Operations Team Leader to utilize the Infor - CMMS system as a tool of organization and preventative maintenance record keeping.
Occasionally lift/push/pull weights up to 50 lbs.
Routinely climb stairs, ladders and work at various heights.
Wear a respirator and all required personal protective equipment (job dependent).
Participate in all daily/monthly safety and communications meetings.
Shovel, sweep, and wash with hoses as directed.
Complete other duties as directed.
Requirements/
Qualifications:
Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic certification is preferred.
Industrial degree, Millwright certification, or equivalent experience required.
Verifiable mechanic experience in material handling operations.
Electrical understanding a plus.
Understand mechanical drawings, preventative maintenance practices, and sequence of operation.
Understanding mechanical maintenance requirements for various facility equipment.
Understanding of the industrial processes and how the different components in such a facility interact.
(Conveyors, Train Unloading System, Crushers, Feeders and Pumps) The Mechanic-Technician must be able to read, write and understand English, have basic math and computer skills and be able to follow written and/or verbal instruction.
A successful Mechanic-Technician must have a willingness to learn and a sense of urgency in performing tasks/duties.
Team Member must be an individual that is reliable, honest, professional, with a positive can-do attitude.
Set the standard for safety, professionalism, and performance.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must pass TMMT certification within 90 days of hire.
Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
Ability to work in a team environment, follow company rules, and take direction from supervisors, as well as work in close coordination with the Electrician and Operations Teams.
Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures and understand a worker's right to stop work when potential safety hazards threaten oneself or others or damage to company assets.
Possess maintenance management experience.
Demonstration of skills and abilities may be required.
Must possess basic MS Office computer skills and willingness to learn INFOR, S7i delivery system.
Must possess effective interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work a Tuesday-Friday, 0600-1600 shifts.
Must be willing to work alternate work schedules or a workweek in excess of 40 hours and/or a workday beyond a regularly scheduled shift and/or respond to emergency call outs that directly affect operations.
Ability to fulfill physical functions as per the Savage physical ability certification and maintain said physical ability.
Must be willing to learn new technology as adapted to the fixed equipment.
Must be familiar with local policies and procedures.
Must be willing and motivated to learn additional skill sets as directed.
Class C Driver's License required.
Education/
Experience:
High School or GED Physical Requirements:
This position works primarily in an outdoor environment with minimal to high concentrations of coal dust.
Must be able to work in extreme weather such as; wind, heat, and cold.
Must have the ability and willingness to perform the essential physical functions of the position:
Work at heights as well as climbing stairs and ladders.
Lift up to 50 pounds.
Lifting or moving objects over 50 pounds must be accomplished by either using extra manpower or machine-assisted lifting techniques.
Climb on and off fixed and mobile equipment.
Perform maintenance work in confined and tight spaces.
Required to wear proper personal protective equipment as environment and the position dictates.
Required to pass annual OSHA respirator and pulmonary function tests.
