IT Technician
Amarillo, TX Amarillo, TX Full-time Full-time $40,000 - $75,000 a year $40,000 - $75,000 a year 2 days ago 2 days ago 2 days ago Qualified IT Technician will install and maintain computer systems, IP Camera systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality, training users of the systems to make appropriate and safe usage of the IT infrastructure.
Successful IT Technician must have a thorough knowledge of computer software, hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems.
The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.
The goal is to build and maintain updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimize the role of technology on business sustainability.
The majority of our customers are large dairy farms.
On site visits are required.
Environments sometimes include inclement weather and acrid smells of animal waste and chemicals.
Responsibilities Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.
) Check computer hardware (HDD, mouse, keyboards etc.
) to ensure functionality Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications Installing and supporting PC's, servers, Cisco/Ubiquity Networking products and IP cameras Develop and maintain local networks for optimized performance Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without operation interruption Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.
) Efficient completion and timely submission of required documentation Identify computer or network equipment shortages so replacements can be ordered Requirements 5
years of experience as IT Technician or relevant position 5
years of enterprise network construction and troubleshooting Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills Excellent communication ability Outstanding organizational and time-management skills In depth understanding of diverse computer systems, networks and networking equipment Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.
g.
CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) Must be able to travel in and out of state, sometimes for several days Must be willing to work inside dairy farms in close proximity of dairy cows Must be able to operate a 40' man lift.
Must be able to pass a drug test Must have a valid Driver's License Job Type:

Monday through Friday Ability to be on-call on a rotating schedule is required.
