In this role, you will be responsible for performing various payroll and human resources administrative tasks, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee information and payroll transactions.
Your attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality will be essential to your success in this position.
Responsibilities:
Manual Submission and Review:
Collect and review employee timesheets to ensure accuracy and completeness of hours worked.
Validate timesheets and question any discrepancies or invalid hours, seeking clarification from employees or supervisors as necessary.
Documentation and Compliance:
Review, verify, and maintain employee I-9, W-4, and identification information to ensure compliance with legal and company requirements.
Process background checks and employment verifications, adhering to company policies and relevant regulations.
Payroll Processing:
Enter deductions, such as taxes, insurance premiums, and child support garnishments, into the payroll system based on employee elections and legal requirements.
Calculate and process adjustments for leave balances, bonus payments, overtime, and other payroll-related items.
Collaborate with the operations team to resolve any payroll discrepancies or errors.
Direct Deposit and Payment Administration:
Process and maintain employee direct deposit information, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages.
Address employee inquiries related to payroll, deductions, and direct deposit arrangements.
Generate pay stubs and distribute them to employees electronically.
Data Integrity and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, tax withholding status, and employment details.
Generate reports and provide relevant payroll and HR data to management as requested.
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and maintain the confidentiality of employee information.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with numbers accurately.
Strong organizational and time management skills to meet payroll deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.
Discretion and integrity in handling confidential employee information.
This role requires handling sensitive information with confidentiality and meticulous attention to detail.
Strong time management, critical thinking, problem-solving, and customer service skills are necessary.
The ability to multitask, prioritize, and communicate effectively with internal and external team members is essential.
