Boiler Engineer (Staff, Senior or Principal):
28047 Description - Extensive technical knowledge of Combustion Engineering coal and natural gas fired boilers for steam driven power plants, including operation, maintenance, and overhaul supervision and industry best practices.
- Capable of leading the crews on boiler inspections, cleaning, assessment of wear and damage, repair techniques, procurement of replacement parts, quality control, and final repairs.
Also function in lieu of an OEM Technical Field Advisor.
- Extensive knowledge of boiler maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair.
- The ability to gather the overhaul data, photographs, and logs into a comprehensive outage report.
- Extensive experience with boiler tube welding techniques and boiler repair is a plus.
- Knowledge and experience with Combustion Turbines HRSGs and combined cycle systems is a plus for the future of Xcel Energy.
