Food Service Worker

This position involves a multi-grade career ladder.
The major duties listed below represent the full performance level of WG-3.
At the WG-1grade level, you will perform assignments of a more limited scope and with less independence.
You will progressively acquire the background necessary to perform at the full performance level of WG-3.
Promotion is at the discretion of the supervisor and is contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of higher level work, and availability of funds.
Employee will serve as a Food Service Worker within Nutrition & Food Service (N&FS) at the VA Health Care System in Amarillo, TX.
Duties will include, but may not be limited to the following:
Sets-up of serving areas and cafeteria/tray lines;Prepares foods to include washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and dicing;Serves hot and cold foods and drinks and providing customers uniform portions;Sets-up cafeteria lines, steam tables, side service stands, beverage service areas, and dining room tables;Loads tray carts and delivers meals to patients;Follows standard procedures to store and handle food;Cleans food service/preparation areas and equipment;Performs heavy-duty cleaning tasks such as cleaning ceilings, exhaust hoods, and behind kitchen equipment;Cleans dining and work areas, pantry shelves, and windows;Sweeps, mops, and buffs floors;Washes walls, ceilings, and exhaust fans;Operates a mechanical dishwasher to clean large quantities of dishes, glassware, and utensils; and maintains maintenance on machines.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Requires rotating shifts between 6:
45am - 3:
15pm and 10:
30am - 7pm.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
