FLOORS:
Dust mop and wet mop floors, in-depth cleaning of floor surfaces, hallways, and stairwells; strip, scrub/refinish, and buff hard floor surfaces; vacuum, spot clean, shampoo, and clean carpeted floor surfaces. Maintain floors using correct solutions and following EMS procedures. PATIENT AND PUBLIC RESTROOMS:
Clean, disinfect, and deodorize patient and public restrooms to include urinals, toilets, stalls, sinks, tubs, shower stalls, mirrors, all restroom furniture and fixtures, spot clean walls, and perform floor care as required. GENERAL CLEANING:
Perform high/low dusting, clean exterior surface of light fixtures, vents, medical instrument panels, night stands, bedside tables, patient side chair, overhead light fixtures; dust and clean furniture, walls; clean ledges, door frames, baseboards, corners, edges, hallways, stairwells, and high touch surfaces (light switches, doorknobs, handrails, handles); clean blinds, woodwork, interior windows; polish sinks and metal fixtures; clean glass doors and other glass surfaces. Keeps housekeeping closet clean and inspection ready. SUPPLIES:
Replenish paper, soap, and hand sanitizer products for EMS dispensers. Check dates to assure products are not expired. EQUIPMENT:
Move and arrange furniture, beds, etc., in the assigned areas to accomplish cleaning tasks. May be required to move heavy furniture using proper equipment for the specific task. Incumbent must be able to safely operate heavy-duty electrical or battery operated equipment including wet and dry vacuums, scrubbers, and buffers, etc. Make minor adjustment, clean out, and change brushes, rollers, and other attachments on above equipment. May be required to use ultra-violate (UV) lighting system. WASTE:
Empty waste baskets and replace liners as needed for area of assignment. Collect, assure proper closure, and dispose of solid non-contaminated trash, recycling materials, cardboard, regulated medical waste/sharps containers to central collection areas. Secure and transport waste per procedure. Cleans waste containers. CLEANING OF PATIENT AREAS:
Performs daily and/or terminal cleaning of patient-discharge, transfer, long term care patient units, patient occupied rooms, and resident sleep room. Provides bedmaking services in patient care areas:
cleans and disinfects mattresses, bed frames, makes bed using hospital-fold techniques with all appropriate linens present and neat. Inspects linen to assure no rips, tears, holes, and stains. Places any such items in appropriate salvage for proper accounting. INFECTION CONTROL/SAFETY:
Incumbent prepares disinfectants in correct dilutions per procedure and selects correct cleaning materials for the job. Follows instructions regarding aseptic technique required in hospital environment; observes all safety regulations. Maintains stock of supplies in closet; assures separation of clean and soiled items; reports conditions beyond his/her capabilities to supervisor or enters work order. Incumbent must be able to select proper tools, chemicals, and cleaners for the job. Reports any cracks or tears in furniture in patient care areas. SPECIAL:
Incumbent must be able to perform work in critical care areas such as Operating Room, Emergency Department, and Intensive Care Unit, which demands a high degree of teamwork, awareness of environment and changes, flexibility, and responsibility to clean unique equipment between patients. Others special areas include isolation, recovery, dialysis, exam rooms, and medical or admin support areas throughout the facility. Incumbent assists with setups of conference rooms, steam cleans areas or vehicles as needed due to suspect or actual bed bugs. Work Schedule:

Experience:

Physical Requirements:
The housekeeping Aid position will require heavy lifting (45 pounds and over), heavy carrying (45 pounds) and over, straight pulling (6 hours), pushing (6 hours), reaching above shoulder, use of fingers, both hands required, walking (8 hours), standing (8 hours), crawling (4 hours), kneeling (6 hours), repeated bending (4 hours), climbing, only legs (1 hour), near vision correctable at 13 to 16 to Jaeger 1 to 4, both eyes required, ability to distinguish basic colors, hearing (aide permitted), emotional and mental stability, and far vision correctable in one eye to 20/50 and to 20/100 in the other. Working Conditions:
Exposure to various contagions and infections may occur as well as cuts from sharp objects found in trash; wet floors present slip hazards, and skin rashes or allergies due to disinfectants are possible. Incumbent may be subject to occasional noise, skin irritations, cuts or bruises. Incumbent must work in close proximity to patients that are ill, and protecting self using preventative immunizations is important. Incumbent must utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and standard procedures to minimize risks as stated.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
